Named after Titans, the ancient Greek mythological gods, Titanium is a very hard metal and twice lighter than stainless steel at the same time. It is widely used in Aerospace, Hi-Tech machinery and implants.
Low thermal expansion and conductivity, unsurpassed corrosion resistance, makes it also an ideal choice for Roofing and Cladding. It has a natural calm light Gray tone, unlike that of any other alloy.
The price per kg. looks expensive for Cladding. But, if you take into account that it’s twice lighter than steel and due to high rigidity, you can use lower thickness of sheets, then the cost per SQM looks reasonable. Especially, if you consider it’s exceptional durability and zero maintenance.
Japan was the first country that used this unique metal in Architectural applications in late 18th century, for the roof of a small shrine.
In the last 2 decades, thanks to a famous Artist of Architecture Frank Gehry and his 1997 creation “Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao” the interest in the unique metal increased exponentially. Apart of commercial buildings, it has already come to Private Residences.
We can supply Pure Titanium sheets in various finishes, including N8 Mirror.
Natural Titanium Oxide layer on the surface is very hard and resilient, which makes it difficult to brush, or polish it to a Mirror finish.
During last 10 years we gained a vast experience in polishing Pure Titanium sheets to a perfect N8 Mirror and other decorative finishes.
Due to signed NDA agreements, we are not at liberty to share the information regarding the industry for which we produce N8 Mirror finish on Pure Titanium sheets.
